Theme of the hobbit
To me, the main theme of this book is about how anyone can become a hero. You don't have to just be born a hero, but you can become one from things you do. It is also that heroes do not always appear as the strongest people. Sometimes heroes are deep down inside a person.
The theme of the book is best portrayed in the character, Bilbo Baggins. He was just a hobbit living in his hobbit hole. He gets the offered to be a leave hard in the Journey. He was scared and he didn't know what he was going to do. He then took a split-second decision and on the way up to the top where we found he was a hero he did many things to show his heroism. He fought brave, became brave, and manned up. He became brave and that changed the outlook for him. He showed a side he'd never showed and cared about everyone and he saved everyone and saved the city. Without his heroism they wouldn't have gotten their city back. |
