They have a weird and awkward conversation about how good of a day it is. Bilbo is weirded out. It turned out that Gandalf came for a reason. A very important reason. Gandalf put a glowing mark on Bilbo's house. This would let the men and dwarves coming from the lost city know where a big meeting would be held. That night the meeting wasn't the only thing unexpected. The men and dwarves asked Bilbo to be a lead part in a journey they were to begin the next day. But Bilbo didn't know whether to take the journey because it held great danger and could easily result in death. So is Bilbo brave and daring? Does he join on the journey and risk everything.
